Different xts2500 housings?

Post by Johnx »

Just curious, I've noticed there seem to be two different types of housings for the xts2500 radio (not meaning model 1 vs. Model 1.5 etc..) Some seem to have a more squared looking speaker grill, and smooth sides, as opposed to a more rounded grill (like that of an xts3k), and finger grips on the case sides. Does this have to do with ruggedized versions? Or is it revision specific? Thanks, John

The housings with the smooth sides are for BN revisions (8 meg) units, and the housings with "finger grips" are for the AN reversions (4 meg) units.
