Type II ID's

Post by Zach489 »

Hello,

I have three radios that I use to monitor a Type II trunking system that all have SmartNet and SmartZone flashcodes. (MCS2000 and MTS2000's). My Model 1 MTS shows the six-digit ID of the transmitting radio (IE: 701101) My MCS also shows the ID's. What has gotten me beat is that I cannot get my Model 3 MTS2000 to display the ID's. It has the Motorola Type II call list as does my MCS. Anyone know how to get it to appear? I have the display ID field checked. Any help appreciated!

What's the radio's flashcode? I'd suspect it doesn't have ID display enabled... or firmware too old.

You could be on to something with the firmware. My MTS model 3 is 5.53, whereas my MCS is 7.71, and my model 1 is 8.73. All of the flashcodes are the same, H37 000004-000000-6.

Any luck with weather its a firmware issue? Also if anyone knows where the selction in cps for MCS2000 is to toggle the ID display on and off, I can't find it. I have 4 MCS2000's, two are model 1 and two are model 3. Only one of the model 3 radios displays ID's the others do not. Same flashcode of 000008-000000-2 on all of them. I will check firmware versions on all and post back.
