Motorola KVL 3000 / KVL 3000 Plus Question

Post by MotoFAN »

Hi all!

Whether KLV 3000+ model doesn't have Plus suffix on the front (below display)? Or all KLV 3000 models absoluteley can't be 3000+?

They are two entirely different models. The non-plus model cannot do AES256 or ADP

I know. Question not about algos. Question is about inscription on the front. Can a model without Plus inscription on the front actually be 3000+?

I'd tend to doubt it. My KVL3000 Plus is model numberT6717A. That's not to say that someone couldn't have swapped the innards, but I've never tried to see if they fit exactly or why anyone on Earth would want to... Mine does everything except DVP, ADP, and AES. In other words; DVP-XL, DES, DES-XL; DES-OFB in ASN or Astro Modes. I'm getting ready to add AES, when I see my pimp.
