gm380 head showing test 8 failed

I have a gm380 that was working fine till my friend tried to put on a mtm700 head,now the radio shows error 8 no mattter which head i use,with the original head i can still read the radio but the display shows test 8 failed on power up and stays on,any ideas what can be causing this,i have also tried the head on another gm380 but it still gives same code.google has not helped me look up the code.cheers in advance guys

below the numeric keypad (F1/F2/F3) contains 5 hidden buttons / switches to the second position belongs to GM380/GM1280 (counted from F1)

I know mtm700 at another position but do not know what is
and does anyone know what the other function of the switch

Look for some killed parts on the mainboard!
