Going through my pile of old radio stuff, I found a handset labelled FLN8047A. This resembles the FLN2270A handsets that Nextel used to sell with their M370 and C370 iDEN mobiles/base stations, but the keys are not backlit (black with white lettering). Does anyone know what this was for?
Thanks,
Howard

Re: Mystery handset
They work with M370 iDen mobiles. I have a couple.
Check again to see that the buttons aren't backlit.. I seem to recall that mine were, but only visible under very low light.
edit: Just plugged one in and confirmed it.. yes, they are backlit.

Re: Mystery handset
I had a chance to turn down the lights, and you are correct, it is backlit.
I dug through some old boxes (NOS) and found another unit. As far as I can tell, the FLN8047A was bundled with the LM2000 (MIRS), and the FLN2270A was bundled with the C370/C470 and M370/C470 kits (iDEN). I think the LM2000 is identical to the M370, but isn't data capable as the M470.
I vaguely recall that there was another handset offered for the M470 at one time that was more rectangular in shape, but I can't find any references.
I wonder if an HHCH would work on an iDEN mobile...
