Win7, XTL, and USB

Anyone tried this combo yet? I made a cable using the USB connections on the 26 pin. Windows found the radio and installed the drivers, yet CPS 14 doesn't have 'USB' in the port list when I go to set it. The crazy part is that Tuner sees it just fine and reads it with no problem.
Look, it's not in my nature to be mysterious. But I can't talk about it and I can't talk about why.

The CPS would show USB as long as it see any USB ports even if the radio isn't connected. Perhaps a re-install of the software? Your not using 64 bit WIN 7 are you?

Nope, 32bit here still. I just installed this a couple days ago and haven't used it yet. Been using Portable just fine on my 4k via serial too. Don't have a USB cable to try on it though.

Right clicked on the executable and set to run in WinXP compat. mode and as administrator and that got it working. USB showed up in the list after I did that so i was able to select it and then read/write. Hooray progress!
