HT1000 DTMF ?
I have a S split HT1000 DN model here that I am trying to put a DTMF front on. I know its a working front as it was just removed from a working VHF DN model. I for the life of me can not find the screen in the RSS to get it to enable the DTMF front. I know I did it on a VHF years ago. I looked at the VHF programming and saw there is a hot keypad in the DTMF settings. I have yet to find it in the UHF. What am I missing. Do I have to clone it from a UHF with a DTMF?

Re: HT1000 DTMF ?
the two methods of enabling DTMF are well documented here:
http://www.batlabs.com/visar.html
you can either hex edit the codeplug to enable the bit that turns of DTMF, or if using RSS ver 3.02.01 or newer, the CTRL-SHIFT-F7 from the Radio Wide Screen should bring up the secret menu IF the radio originally came with DTMF from the factory. Otherwise use the method above for hex editing the C/P to wake up the DTMF capability and it should be good to go, then the hot keypad option should be visible when you read the radio in RSS.
