panter xts2500i channel announcement

gday all i have a panter 2500i and it has channel announcement in the flashcode but i cannot tick the box to enable this option? do i need to make and store wav audio files in the relevant directory so the software can find them and convert them to moto files for it to work? and then let me enable the feature? thanks all:D

Have you enabled it in the options menu first?

I think he's saying that he's having the same problem I'm having. In the Radio Wide options screen there is a box to check for channel announcement but it gets eye glasses all the time even though the Q446 CA flash is in the radio.

You need to enable the channel announcement read/write voice files in the CPS options before you can enable it in the codeplug. So under view open the options menu and then the channel announcement menu and enable it there first. Close the CPS and then restart and read your codeplug.

Aha! (As they used to say a hundred years ago.)

The only thing I had ever used the View menu field for was to check for invalid entries when writing a codeplug.
