Hey Guys and Gals,
I just bought an HT1250LS+ fully aware that mdc signaling would not be available. However, I was just curious if anyone found a way, through software, to enable mdc1200 functions on an HT1250ls+ in conventional mode. Just curious. It wouldn't hurt to have it, but I dont need it either.
thanks!

Re: Motorola HT1250LS+ MDC1200 MOD
Depends on the TANAPA, I have reflashed radios to do MDC on conventional with LTR. BTW not the standard software, you will have to look around for it.

You could reprogram the radio into a conventional 1250 with unoffical waris tool.

You are going to have to find the unofficial waris on your own. The method is simple, but again you are going to have to find it on your own. I suggest Yahoo groups. BTW be very careful, you can very easily brick the radio beyond repair. I know I have done it. One thing I can tell you is always use Tanapas with the same suffix, A for A , B for B.

Before you do something, read and save the tuning data!
Start the codeplug tool and program the radio with a proper codeplug.
Start the upgradetool and flash the firmware.
Set the regionalcode with the codeplugtool.
Read the radio with the tuner and set the serial number of the radio.
Load the tuning data from HD and program the radio with it.
You cannot kill the radio with the tool, but you can get trouble if you flash the firmware first!
Sometimes, newer firmware have problems with older codeplugs in the radio and disable it, so you cannot program the new codeplug anymore. You can fix this problem by flashing an old matching firmware back.
Allways program the new codeplug before you flash the new firmware, and you never have any problems!
When the new codeplug and new firmware is in the radio, you can program another codeplug from the pool, without flashing the radio each time!
