CM300 Handset

Has any one used a Motorola handset throught he rear accessry connector of the CM300 ? Can you mute audio through the speakers when doing this ? Would you use pin 11 for receive audio ?

I have used the Motorola transit handset on Maxtrac and CDM mobiles, but not the CM series. Those required speaker level audio to drive the handset ear piece, and they do have switching in the hangup to force spkr mute. I have also used the more modern handset on CDM mobiles. They do not have a provision for spkr mute, but can operate off the low level det audio present at pin 11 of the accy conn which is essentially the same point as the handset audio in the mic jack.

Thanks for the info, that is what I did, used pin 11 disc audio, works great.
