CDM1250 to GM300

Post by fchrist16 »

I am able to link a GM300-UHF to a CDM1250-VHF and the audio is repeated UHF to VHF just fine, but not the other way around. The cable is made up for cross-band repeat so that's not the issue.

What am I missing with the Pins? Pins 4,6,8,9,12 & 14 are the ones used...The cable is from a good person who I've never had trouble with over on that wonderful flea-buy site.

Mods, Please move this to the proper forum if not here...

EDIT: Search RA1 on that site for the cable I'm using.

So, what's not fine about the VHF to UHF audio? Too loud? Too soft? Zit zitty?

I would review the pin assignments on both radios.
The default setting on each radio will probably be different, as is what pin/s are used for what purpose...Hi/Low active. debounce, toggle.
Are you certain the RX audio from the RX radio is going to the proper pin on the TX radio, at the proper level?
You may be getting audio, but its level may be too low to hear over a local speaker.

Flat TX audio never passes through 'loud'...you can always adjust filtered audio to pass with proper deviation settings once you have that path
set up correctly.

The TX Light doesn't even turn on...That's my first clue that something is wrong.

Ok so I set the pins up again and this time everything turned out right.

Guess I fat-fingered something earlier.
