xtl5000 head on xtl2500?

as topic states, want to know if the xtl5000 O5 head will fit on and work with a XTL2500 O5 radio. cheers all:D

It will fit, but it will NOT work.

An XTL2500 isn't considered an O5, it's considered a M5.
