What radios do you own?: Maxtrac, Maratrac, V S VX-2200

Moto Desktrac

Post by wqgj587 »

Just obtained a used Desktrac.

When I connect to program, I use the desktrac.exe rss software. It will only allow One Mode or channel. the book with this says 16 chan.

it allows me to change the number displayed on the front, but its still just one channel or mode.

am i missing something, or has something been changed out in this desktrac?

thanks for any input.

Im sorry, I was not aware of the switch on the font to change from controller to transmitter to receiver.
Found it inside a post somewhere and that was the problem

Thanks anyway

I can't recall the screen names or the F buttons off the top of my head, but under F4 View Edit, F2 Radio Wide, I think there is a screen that will tell you just how many modes this particular radio is capable of. If it says 1, then it is just 1. If it says 16, then you are in luck. Back out of Radio Wide and go to F5 Mode Edit, and down along the bottom should be F6 (or F8) Mode Utility. In there you can add or delete modes. Then you go back to fill in the blanks.

Hope that helps.

*I see you found out about the rotary switch too. That shouldn't have fixed your single mode issue, but if it did, I learnt me sumthin.
