cm200

Post by rolenpujols »

Hi, I am looking for someone to fix me 3 16pin accessory plugs for the cm200. My plans are to run two other offices off of one radio at the dispatch office. They are approximately 30 feet from one another. I contacted the group and they felt this was the way to go other than putting 3 radios, 3 power supplies, and 3 antennas on the tower. So, what I plan to do is run wiring to each of the two offices and put a telephone plug in the way with a speaker and that way they could communicate with the drivers of the company without going up front to the dispatch area. I would be willing to pay for your time for putting these together for me and have them labled so all I have to do is wire them up. I prewired the offices today and used 4 wire telephone cable so hopefully that is strong enough wire to do the job. I figured one for transmit, 1 for receive and 2 for external speaker. Also will need the layout on wiring the telephone jack for the microphone. Drawings or labeling would be great, either one. Could you do this for me or do I need to try and contact someone else. If you know someone that could help, would greatly appreciate it. Just send me a price and shipping on the three wired accessory plugs and diagram of wiring the phone jack. I sure appreciate all of your help. Doug

Hello Doug. Welcome. You will need a minimum of five wires: ptt (transmit), mic hi, ground, speaker + and -. If you wish to monitor, a sixth wire is needed. What you are doing is not uncommon, and it can be done if you keep your wiring under 50ft which you have. You should make provisions to add a volume control to each speaker. You don't have a radio shop in your area that can do this work?
