New 900 MHZ Repeater in Norwich, CT 06360

Post by w1ich »

As of August 7, 2010 the New 900MHZ Repeater owned by RASON (Radio Amateur Society of Norwich) has been on-the-air. The repeater is a Motorola MSF5000 and it was assembled by John N1OTY and his crew in Taunton, MA. Output power is 130 watts.

The Repeater sits atop Plain Hill in Norwich, CT. The 10 db gain Motorola (Cellwave) antenna is over 500' above sea level. This height gives the repeater a good footprint in Southeastern Connecticut. The repeater input frequency is 902.4375, CTCSS 156.7, Hear Clear ON. The output frequency is 927.4375.

When visiting our many tourists attractions and casinos (Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods) in Southeastern Connecticut, please feel free to use our new repeater.
