PM400 opinions ?

Post by RadioSouth »

Hi all,
Looking to do an install in my new ride. My old ride had a couple Spectra's which did a great job for over a decade but a couple of my channels are going 12.5 and I'll need to get something else. The PM400 has an appealing size (not much bigger than a control head) plenty of channels, don't need high power or digital and will be used 95% for Rx. How's the track record of this little guy ?
(While we're at it anyone monitoring 12.5 channels on an old 25 KHz receiver ? Decent audio ?)

i have put in about 30 of these and i do like the size too. the only thing that bugs me a little is you have to keep a trunking system in it you just cant delete it but other than that the cm 300 is about the same one is like a chevy and the other gmc

What radios do you own?: Over 50 - All Motorola

If you delete the talkgroup, the trunking zone will 'disappear'.
