How many users on here use Motorola radios on HF?
I am also looking for an HF Log Periodic Antenna for my station

Re: Motorola HF
Do you truly mean a log periodic, or do you mean a Yagi? They are NOT the same. The log periodic has a wider bandwidth at the expense of lower gain for a given size, while a Yagi has higher gain but lower bandwidth for the same size.N9CZV wrote:I am also looking for an HF Log Periodic Antenna for my station
This is my opinion, not Aeroflex's.
I WILL NOT give you proprietary information. I make too much money to jeopardize my job.
I AM NOT the Service department: You want official info, manuals, service info, parts, calibration, etc., contact Aeroflex directly, please.

Re: Motorola HF
Yes I am looking for a LP. The bigger the better.
Re: Motorola HF
recently quoted a HF log periodic transmit antenna to a large Carribean country.................it was 2-30mhz (roughly) and measured almost the size of a football field. It was for a fixed application so there no tower/rotator combo to worry about. This antenna was several hundreds of thousands of $$$$$$ before installation. FYI........... FatBoy
......I understand what the package says sir, but you cannot talk 28 miles with 3 AA batteries.......

I'm using Micom 2 /ES and /TS here in Chicago.
What do you want to know?
They're great radios: embedded ALE, idiotproof autotuners, DSP-driven, tough build...
