CDM1250 Programming Problem

Post by henryg »

Hello. I have the latest version of the CDM1250 software and new radios. I have revised an existing codeplug to include new channels and update current channels. The problem I am having is that the codeplug I have in the computer does not match what the display says on the radio. I can read the radio and it matches what the codeplug says. I do not get any error messages nor any indication of a problem. The radios transmits and receives OK. Just the display does not match what is (or I think is) programmed in the radio. This is occurring on multiple radios. Thanks. Henry

What exactly do you mean? Can you provide specific details? I mean is it scrambled up? Are there pixels missing or blank spots or what?

Hello and thank you for spending some brain time on this. I "forgot" to assign the new personalities to a zone, so they were not showing up when I would step through the channels. I finally had a chance to sit down with the software and went through each menu and "discovered" my screw up. I should be OK now. I find out tomorrow. That's what I get for working late and not enough sleep. Stay safe. Henry

That is why there is a view all errors selection from the view tab at the top of the screen. You should always look here before
trying to write back to the radio. Saves all sorts of time trying to figure out why things are working strange.

Not assigning a personality to a zone/channel wouldn't show up as an error. If in fact there are any errors present, the software won't let you write to the radio anyway, and will tell you to refer to the 'invalid fields' screen.
