GP300 DTMF

Post by James KC9KTV »

I have a GP300 with the 16 button DTMF pad, will this send the normal dtmf tones? I push the buttons and it sounds like the same tone. Is there something i need to do in the setup of the radio to get it to output standard dtmf tones?

I am new to this and like the GP300 radios, the model number of this radio is P94YPC20C2AA.

All help will be very much appreciated.

Sincerely

James

I know it is possible because I had one I used to use to program repeaters. You should be able to configure it how you want it in the signalling screen of the RSS. Look for a setting like "Live Keypad" or "Hot Keypad". Otherwise you will need to configure "Phone Mode", which is designed to be used with telephone interconnect systems.
