xtl 5000 error

xtl 5000 error

I have two xtl5000 remote head, when power on one display 05/94 error,the other display 05/93 error,I can't found any information from service manual abou it ,any idea ?

You didn't mention where the heads came from or if they worked on other radios.

You didn't mention what type of control head your trying to use on the XTL5000.

If these heads were not originally mated and programmed with the radio, you might have a miss match
between them. There is a good chance you need to sync the control head to the radio. To do this you
will need a current sync file from Motorola. They are normally available from the MOL site if you have an account.

The 05 error generally points to a serial error.

The 93 and 94 are an indication of the prom information not being correct and you need to reprogram the radio.

Without you providing more details, you won't get much help.

how to recover ? the head only display 05-94(93) now ,can't communicate with pc ,can't read, write and upgrade,
so I must change a new circuit board ? more details?

You have a mismatched CHIA and CHIB. You need to obtain either a new front half or back half. Your set up will not work in its current state. The thread I linked explains this in detail.
