Xts 3000 can't receive any freq

Post by rjm345 »

My xts 3000 was working fine then it "locked up" and I can't hear any audio all I hear is something like white noise. The buttons and controls all work, but I can not receive any freq that i have programmed as conventional but are on a trunked system. I do not have a system key nor did I. When I switched to my local fire ground zone (programmed as a different zone) the noise that was coming out of the speaker stopped. I tried to reinstall the codeplug nothing I made a new codeplug from the orginal from a year ago still the same out come. Any help would be great thank you.

Is the "white noise" that you hear constant before you switch to the fireground zone?

Could have the system converted to digital? If so are your RX channels set for mixed mode?

Are you able to receive anything on your fireground zone?

Do you have any transmit channels? If so does it TX OK?

Do you have a local NOAA channel programmed in? If so does it RX? If not try that and see.

Are there any error codes displayed on or radio?

Jim.

Yes I tested it with a radio at my fire house we have a 800mhz trunked and I don't use it trunked

Do you have a local NOAA channel programmed in? If so does it RX? If not try that and see.
