Hello to all! Like the title says I would like to Know what is the latest version of the RSS Software to program an Astro Saber. Got my hands on 2 almost mint UHF Astro Sabers II model #HO4RDF9W7AN the flashport #1000040000004. I'm just going to program them with analog simplex frequencies and repeaters nothing digital. Is there anything special I need to know or that I need to do differently from the way I program other radios like for example a Spectra ? Thanks in advance.

It really depends what they were programmed with last. I believe the newest RSS was 9.05, but if they were last programmed with CPS, than they will need CPS from now on. The newest CPS is 5.03.00. If they were last programmed with very early CPS, then the 9.05 RSS might still work. Spectra's were RSS, & CPS is totally different, but easier when you get used to it. RSS is DOS based, & CPS is Windows based. GARY N4KVE
