XTL 1500 & VRS

Post by will_545 »

I am needing some help with info on a XTL 1500 and VRS. I have read that all XTL series radios will work with VRS but our local moto tech says they wont. He says that the 2500 and up work only. If the 1500 will work what cable do I need to look for and if any one has a site to find them could pass that on would be help full.

The XTL1500 is only sold as a dash-mount or control station radio, so it doesn't have anywhere for you to plug in the VRS.

What radios do you own?: XTL, XTS, Saber, Spectra, MTS2

As far as I know, the XTL5000 is the only XTL that supports VRS and/or DVRS. I have a VRS750 on mine, and it was plug and play.
