Hi everyone...
I am trying to monitor the local site of a Statewide 9600bps VHF P25 System in Conventional Mode (Receive Only), and I am having some issues. I have tried searching but I apparently am not using the correct search terms. My radio is not flashed for trunking, so unfortunately setting it up to follow the system that way is out of the question.
The site that I am trying to listen to has 3 frequencies that I know of thus far, 2 of which are control channels that alternate. I have one zone set up in the radio that I would like to set up to monitor 5 talkgroups. I have created 5 personalities, each of which references the same (auto-scan) scan list, and also a talkgroup from the Astro talkgroup list, so the channels are set up like this:
1 - Voice Channel 1, Talkgroup 1
2 - Voice Channel 2, Talkgroup 1
3 - Voice Channel 3, Talkgroup 1
4 - Voice Channel 1, Talkgroup 2
5 - Voice Channel 2, Talkgroup 2
6 - Voice Channel 3, Talkgroup 2
7 - Voice Channel 1, Talkgroup 3
8 - Voice Channel 2, Talkgroup 3
9 - Voice Channel 3, Talkgroup 3
10 - Voice Channel 1, Talkgroup 4
11 - Voice Channel 2, Talkgroup 4
12 - Voice Channel 3, Talkgroup 4
13 - Voice Channel 1, Talkgroup 5
14 - Voice Channel 2, Talkgroup 5
15 - Voice Channel 3, Talkgroup 5
The scan list is set to auto-scan all of these channels, no matter which channel is selected.
The problem I am having is that each channel seems to be unmuting to whatever talkgroup comes across it, even though I have defined a specific talkgroup and set the squelch to "selective".
Is there a way to scan that list of talkgroups that is defined in the Astro Talkgroup List?
EDIT: I have the NAC for all channels set as F7E, which I think may be the issue. The system ID is 19E (Virginia STARS), but nothing is unmuting to the NAC 19E.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Re: XTS5000 Astro Conventional Talkgroup Scan
I believe the NAC uses the last two digits of the System ID plus something which roughly corresponds to the Connect Tone ID.
I would start off at 9e0, 9e1 and so on.
I believe there's 6 Connect Tones so the highest you would need to try would be 9e5.

It actually ended up being 190, and that got it working.
Thanks!
Thanks!
