XTS5000 Will Not Do Narrow Band

I have an XTS5000 VHF that will not allow me to narrowband certain channels. In the CPS I have the option of selecting a channel deviation of 12.5, 20.0, or 25.0 khz. If I select 20.0 or 25.0 I get no errors but when I select 12.5 I get a red box around the channel deviation. Any ideas what could be going on?

Have you selected the "Tx Opt Transmit Dev" to 2.5kHz? Once you do this you should be able to select the channel spacing.

If the selected personality has Securenet enabled, you will not be able to select 2.5kHz deviation.

I know there was a firmware bug that you had to set your rx up for mixed mode in order to get the 2.5khz dev to be accepted
but i do not remember how far back in the firmware ver the bug is.

I had a problem with narrow banding some channelsn that used encryption, I turned off the encryption for that channel and it worked fine.
