Can't get XTS3000 to scan

Post by SoCalRescue »

Hi All. I am in need of some advice. I can't get my xts3000 to scan and I need some help. I am new to the CPS and don't know if there are some little tricks that need to be done. I have my scan lists made and I have tried programming different buttons to activate scanning. Also, when I try to add scan to the display menu, it adds in the CPS but doesn't show up on the radio... Any ideas?

You'll have to link each conventional personality to a scan list before you can toggle scan on/off. If the selected channel (personality) does not have a linked scan list, "SCAN" won't show in the menu and none of the programmed scan buttons will work.

No actually. I just finally got a copy of CPS for my 800mhz unit to monitor LAFD. I wish it were though... trust me.

mes...I don't know if you are understanding what Will is saying you need to do, sir. There is a tab titled "SCAN" on each Conventional Personality, and for each and every one, you need to go to that tab and select from the drop down menu an individual scan list you want that personality to reference when the radio is put in scan mode. The default setting in that tab when you add each conventional personality is "None" so naturally, it will not scan if no scan list is associated with it.
