GP 380 Programming problem

Post by dmbasb »

I have a GP380 in which i have programed several time with r03.09.03 cps. The last time I tried to program the radio i got the following error message (couldn't open Port. check whether Device/rib are powered on or not, and the device to rib, rib to pc is ok). I was using a ribless cable at the time so I thought that may be the problem so I used a Moto rib and cable and the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions to what the problem might be?
Thanks

Not having that software, I can't tell you for sure. But I would check to make sure the software is not looking for the wrong com port. Many of the programs have a place where you can tell it to look for a com port number or a USB port. Take a look at the "view" or in the "file" section to see if there is a place to make the selection.
