XTS1500 Programming

Post by arlojanis »

I started to read a XTS1500 and got the error message that my CPS is too old. If the radio has a password, would that error come before or after the CPS age error? I ordered the newest portable CPS, does the mobile CPS still come with it?

If the CPS detects a newer codeplug in the radio, it will stop because it is unable to read anything else about the radio. So to answer your question, you will need to install the latest CPS (R15.00.00) before you will know if the radio is password protected.

I installed this software yesterday, and found that it only includes the portable CPS and the tuner.

I am on vacation so I do not have numbers available but you can buy portable, mobile, at a combined set. It sounds like you purchased portable only.
