MTX9K B5 Shuts off during read

Hey all....I have an odd problem:

I have an MTX9K B5.....when attempting to read with DOS RSS 6.7 , the radio moementarily shuts off, goes through self test, and turns on again. I have charged the battery fully, cleaned the contacts, ensures the pins were lining up correctly, and so forth....

Any ideas on what causes this or how to correct it?

I think I have this fixed; had a loose ribbon cable after a new front was installed...........thanks for time spent looking though!
