LCS2000 Read/Write Problem

Post by KE9GK »

I am attempting to program some LCS mobiles and am having a weird problem with the RSS. It accesses the serial bus correctly, the display on the radio says r55 and everything appears as though it is reading correctly....however I never get the progress bar...and after about 5 seconds the screen goes back to the standard "F3" window as if the codeplug was read...but when I attempt to edit it...it says no codeplug loaded. I have tried this on 3 separate radios, 2 different PC's (one is a dos only slow machine) and with/without hex edited RSS....still notihing. Thoughts?

I am just thinking of turning them into GTX900's with an SRECORD if someone could assist me with that....irritating!

Thanks

Found the problem......

Apparently this is what happens when the radio is programmed with a newer version of RSS than it is being read with. Hopefully this will help others in the future encountering this problem.
