Motorola (HT1000) Battery Code Question

Post by djkevy »

Is motorola still using the same 3 digit date code on batteries? I purchased some for my HT1000 and was told they were new. They have a code of 011. I thought that meant they were made in the 11th week of 2000. Could it also mean they were made in the 11th week of 2010 or do they have a new battery code for batteries made after 2009?

Thanks,
Kevin.

Same code, no way to tell between decades. Revision #'s or country of manuf. can be of help to narrow it down.

The cell origin is Japan, there's no revision number, and it's Nickel Metal Hydride battery.

If it's NTN7143DR you have a 2010 battery.
