XTS2500 Volume Control White Dot Position

Post by JPOPatents »

Ok, this may sound like a dumb question, but here goes. On my XTS2500, the white dot on the volume control is 180 degrees off of where it should be when the radio is turned off. In other words, the dot is at the back of the radio instead of the front. It's not the knob, but the flat part of the shaft is actually 180 degrees off. Now, there isn't any way to solder the control onto the board backwards, so I have no idea why this is the case except for a manufacturing defect in the control.

Has anyone seen this before?
