HT1250 Stopped Working

Post by jchabalie »

I placed my HT1250 into the charger powered on last night and it was working normally. When I woke up this morning the radio was still in the on position, but was not on. I attempted using 3 different batteries in case it was a battery issue, but still no luck. Any idea what happened?

Well, the first thing is you broke the first Cardinal Rule: Never leave your radio on in the charger.

Chances are, during the night, something caused your supply voltage to the transceiver to spike momentarily, and since the radio was 'on', the spike resulted in a short transient current spike which killed the fuse in your radio. You can open it up and check continuity on the fuse, or you can take it to the shop.....
