Motorola Spectra

Post by chrisnbrandie2005 »

I have a dash mount Motorola spectra. I am attempting to convert it into a remote mount. I have all appropriate cables. The remote mount control head works great when powered up with another spectra. the dash mount radio I am attempting to convert works as a dash mount flawlesly. now comes the question. when I put the remote face plate on the dash mount radio and hook with up with the cable to the control head it gives me a fail 01/90 code. I know this code is bad but when all parts are hooked up speratly and tested all are working. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What is the part number on your remote mount interconnect board:

What is the part number on your control head circuit board:
http://www.onfreq.com/syntorx/spectra/p ... tml#spchea

Do you use the remote mount HLN6432 board in the control head housing:

Do all the newer remote mount parts together work on another Spectra radio drawer?

Does your dash mount conversion Spectra radio drawer work with another older set of remote mount parts from another working remote mount Spectra?

If you get another set of remote mount parts to work with the dash mount conversion radio, then just substitute in the newer parts one at a time until it stops working and you have found a problem part.

Are any of your radio or parts SP model parts or boards?

BTW, you do know you cannot mix single radio drawer Hand Held Control Head (HHCH) parts with any other types of non-HHCH control heads, non-HHCH parts or non-HHCH radio drawer command boards? I suspect you do, just double checking :).
