Correct Jotto Desk faceplate for XTL5000 with O5
What's the right JottoDesk faceplate for XTL5000 with an O5 head? Looks like all the faceplates on their site are for W heads..

I bet these would work:
XTL 2500 (3'')
425-6117
XTL 2500 (REMOTE HEAD ONLY) (3")
425-6298
Anyone verify?

Last I knew Jotto did not make an actual "O" faceplate. The W7 brackets are what they are selling as being compatible.

Yeah, old post, but in case someone is searching....
They do not make an O5 specific plate. They actually use one for RadioShack scanners, that...actually fit. The most you have to do is add a couple of washers where the head bolts.
I actually sent them one of my heads to make a slightly better fit, but they are going to stick with what they have. My only complaint is that the mounting metal goes back too far for the size of the head (at least in my mounting case). It was designed for the "deck" of the scanner, vs the depth of the head.

Right you are. Thanks for the info. Had to do a little modifications to get this in and looking nice.Pj wrote:Yeah, old post, but in case someone is searching....

I don't have it handy, but it does not look out of place at all. It looks perfect as is should.
If you go to jottodesk.com it has a part number for a O5 head, but if you take that part number and look at the radio shack scanners you will see the same number in there somewhere.

I only have experience with the remote heads.
