XTS5000R How to tell if it is a true R?
I just bought my first XTS5000 and I'm curious if it is a true R model. Is there any way to tell if it a true R? Also I have an XTS2500I is there any way to tell if they are truly rugged? I would like to be able to bring both of these near water and not be afraid to do so. I may bring them to a Moto dealer and see what they can tell me.

To add to Marv's comment...
"R version has a Gas plug under the battery"
...to the right of the vent panel, toward the bottom of the chassis back plate. If there is a removable
plug there it's an "R" model. If no plug there is a circular mold mark where the plug would go IF the radio
were the "R" model, so then you have a regular radio, non "R."

Also to maintain the "R" rating the radio needs to get tested/checked every year.
