Hi all,
I've got an issue with an Astro Saber I.. The FW version is 04.01.05.00 and DSP N06.03.02, and I set my scan lists (two) for the selected channel to be first priority, OP/SEL second priority, and OP/SEL non-priority members. The first bank of channels is the first scan list, the second bank is the second. The clear/secure switch is my zone select control, and the A/B switch is Scan Program Toggle. Scan Toggle is on the top side button, etc.
When I go into scan program mode, the radio beeps as it should, but when I try to hit the select button to select channels for scan, the radio will beep like it should, but the LED doesn't light up green or red, like it should. I think the channel is still being put into the scan list, you just can't tell what's in the scan list, and what's not!
The LED works, because it blinks red on RX, and blinks green on power-on... so what gives? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks in advance!

Anybody have any thoughts on this, now that we're all back?

Re: Astro Saber I OP/SEL Scan Problem
What are you using as the select button? You should be pressing monitor (above the PTT) to add/delete scan list members.

That is the button I'm using, but I have that button programmed as scan toggle... Could that be a problem?

Re: Astro Saber I OP/SEL Scan Problem
Most likely that's your problem. Try programming your emergency button for scan toggle if it will let you.

Re: Astro Saber I OP/SEL Scan Problem
When I was still rocking model 1 Astros I programmed:
top button - monitor
side button 1 - scan on/off
side button 2 - nuisance delete
emergency button - blank
secure switch - scan list program (position B)
A/B switch - zone select
I also want to say I ran into an old VSELP-era VHF radio that would not do user-select scan at all.

Re: Astro Saber I OP/SEL Scan Problem
This one is IMBE, and will do user-select scan (ie. it shows the scan members added when read, and scans them) but doesn't indicate to you (with the LED) which are in the scan list... Grrr! I'll have to try messing around with the button assignments a bit more...
