CDM1250 Power-Issue

Post by njemt7212 »

Hi all,

Recently Just helped a buddy install a CDM1250 into his ford explorer, however after the installation the radio wouldn't turn on. It is remote-mount and ignition sense is hooked up. The radio is programmed for both regular power button and ignition sense. We checked all the power cables and ignition sense then randomly it turned on and operated perfectly. However 2 weeks later the cdm now has the power on sound but nothing else. I sense it has something to do with the control head. Any Ideas? radio was purchased used.

Reassemble it back to the dash mount configuration and make sure everyting is ok.

After that, trouble shoot the cable in between, it is fairly durable but not at all impervious.

No display sounds like maybe the head wasn't completely snapped back together correctly.

Let us know!
