JT1000 codeplug /hex help

Post by n3qam »

I want to edit the codeplug for keypad program. My RSS is on a machine that does not have any way to export my codeplugs ( win 3.1 and dos 6 so no usb or cd burner ) to be able to hex edit. Is there any hex programs that will work with win 3.1 ?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

use windows explorer, the codeplugs are in there, just copy them over a network or put them on a disk

The "RSS machine" does not have those abilities. Too old and not physically possible. I was able to find a UHF code plug elsewhere , hex it , burn it to a cd , then take it to the RSS machine, put it in the archive, then clone it to my UHF radio , then edit my fields then reprogram . I guess I can keep digging on the web to find a VHF codeplug to do the same for that radio.

There was a version of the hex editor that works in DOS/Win 3.1. Hex Workshop. BreakPoint Software.

Ill look for it on their old versions. I was able to do it from a friends old programming laptop and transfer between machines with a floppy to get it written to my VHF. I just have to read it here at home so its saved to my machine now......
