PM400 and RICK

Post by AEM760 »

I have 2 PM 400 UHF radio'es that I want to interface with a RICK for a backup repeater. What is the best set up and programming for a simple uhf repeater ???

I noticed in the software that there are selections for RICK RX or RICK TX. Do I need to set acc pin options ????

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

RICK RX for the receiver radio:
You need to set the receiver radio for RUS, receiver un-squelch, on pin 8. RUS = PL/csq active LO.
Filtered audio on pin 11.

Ground pin 7 & 9 to RICK
+ 12 volts Pin 13 to RICK

RICK TX on the transmitter radio.

Mic audio and PTT, and these can be routed thru the Mic jack which does not require any programming options.

Mic audio pin 2 NEEDS TO BE PROGRAMMED IN RADIO TO ext mic in
PTT PIN 3 NEEDS TO BE PGMD TO EXT PTT active LO

GROUND pins 7 & 9

External Alarm: ???
Alarm Duration: ???
External PTT Audio Source: Ext Mic Audio
Accessory Package: RICK or I20R Rx
Pin 3: Unassigned
Pin 4: External Alarm Active High also tried as unassigned
Pin 6: Unassigned
Pin 8: PL/CSQ/Talk Group Detect Active Low
Pin 9: Unassigned
Pin 12: Unassigned
Pin14: Unassigned

TICK Tx on transmitter
RX Audio Type: Filtered Audio
External PTT Audio Source: Ext Mic Audio
Accessory Package: RICK or I20R Tx
Pin 3: External Mic PTT
Pin 4: Unassigned
Pin 6: Unassigned
Pin 8: Unassigned
Pin 9: Unassigned
Pin 12 Unassigned
Pin 14 Unassigned

Any thoughts ??? All help is greatly appreciated.
