What radio works there?

Post by N4KVE »

I will be going to Montreal in a few months, & would like to operate on the 900 amateur repeater there. There's only one there, & it requires the HT to xmit on 908.0 mhz, & rx on 920.0 mhz. What commercial radio works on that bandsplit? I have Jedi's & GTX's, & they all work fine on 902/927, but I don't think they will work at 908/920. What do Canadian hams use there on 900? GARY N4KVE

Gary,

I would take two of your present radios and set them up for the Canadian channels and see how they do. My recollection of the modified GTX is that it's better at transmitting at 902 and better at receiving at 927, so do a setup and see how they work in between.
