Motorola HMN1078A Mic on CDM1250

Post by Driv3r912 »

Is it possible to wire this microphone up to work on a Motorola CDM1250? Specifically, does anyone have the pinout for this mic to work with the CDM1250? I can crimp an RJ-45 end, however, I want to have the right wiring for the radio, if possible.

Usually n Motorola Mics,

Red= Mic Hi
Black=Mic low
White= PTT Return
Green=PTT
Blue= HUB (Hang up Button)

You'll just have to get the CDM mic pin out schematic to match up the pin positions.

HMN1078 work just fine on the CDM series. Use on my personal daily use radio.

Yeah, I got it to work. I actually purchased the microphone off of you Wiscomm from eBay the other day. It was transmitting but not passing any audio. I was able to rewire and re-crimp the connection so it would work on my CDM1250. Either way, it works great now, not to mention, it is an excellent looking mic!

Just in case anyone else has this problem in the future for this specific mic and radio, use the following wire pinout for the RJ-45 connector:

1. (Empty)
2. (Empty)
3. Blue
4. Black
5. Red
6. Green
7. Yellow
8. White

Thanks guys!
