Can anyone refresh me on the typical bat frequency plan? I know in years past there was a lot of activity on one of the MURS freqs P25 that was batboard related...As well as another UHF P25 freq.

If you are bringing a UHF TRBO radio - these guys will have a UHF TRBO repeater on the air at the show.

http://www.dmr-marc.net/

Networked on timeslot 1 and local on timeslot 2. It will be my first time playing with TRBO in the ham bands.

Looking forward to seeing folks there.

I have a VHF XTS5000, and I have a DES-XL board for it. Just need someone to install it (I don't have a clue how to even open the radio!). Anybody willing to do this at Dayton? I don't need any keys loaded, just the module installed.

PM me and let me know how much you would charge and where I can find you. I will be there Fri and Sat, and maybe Sun. Thanks!

Making my first trip to Dayton this year. Coming out late Thursday for Friday and part of Saturday. Any particular place Batlabers are meeting or just try the established frequencies?

I have a P25 only (not mixed mode) repeater up an running at Hara Arena.
443.900 +5mhz NAC293
Sorry it's an alligator, all mouth.
Will work on making it better for next year.
Let me know if you have any helpful comments.
This is my first p25 repeater and the first that I did all the work on.
I'm learning and never seem to have enough time.

Please do make good use out of it.

Mark,

I hit the repeater today from the flea market and it sounded great. Audio checks came back good and the signal was nice and strong. I will have the machine in my scanlist tomorrow as well if anyone wants to chat (my radio ID is 708807, if you want to selcall or something :D).

BTW, if anybody has an XTS5k programming cable to sell (/\/\ or aftermarket) and will be at the Hamvention tomorrow please email me at bezking@radioreference.com

Thanks!

And that's a no $hit story...........
Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

What?! no 800?

historically, ive found and heard many peeps over the years that have 800 have used the national Motorola trunked radio simplex of 853.4875.
in the late 80s and up to the late 90s alot of radio shops put this freq into the trunked radios as a simplex when their customers were out of range of the tower. ive heard dayton fest activity on this freq over the years.
