HT750 won't encode DPL...

Post by EindhovenOne »

Hello all, I am programming some new HT750's that we received at my agency (4 of them to be exact) and for whatever reason I cannot get any of the radios to hit the repeater that has a DPL on the transmit frequency. All the simplex channels with DPL are working fine and I can hit all the repeaters with a TPL without any issue. I am positive that the values are all valid and have double checked all the options tabs and compared them to our existing HT750's and there is no difference. I am at a loss at this point; any and all help is appreciated. Thanks. -E

Depending on how the repeaters Receiver local oscillator injection is set up, either low side local oscillator or high side, and yours sound like it is set for low side, you need to enable Transmit DPL invert on the particular repeater channel only.

This should fix your problem.

Since I'm not familiar with the HT750 software you may need to go to help files to find out how to enable Transmit DPL inversion if there isn't a check box for it in the programming software.

Thank you for your reply. I am going to try that in a few minutes here but I am curious to know that if all the existing mobile and portable radios for these repeaters are not programmed for DPL invert what would cause these specific radios to need that provisioning? Thanks again for the quick reply and your insight, sir.

Do you have the correct bandwidth set?
Other than that you might need to put one on a service monitor and see exactly what's coming out of it.

all of the existing radios your're talking about, are any of them ht750's or 1250's or 1550's?
