I need help figuring out how to choose scan lists.
I have a MTS 2000 and am using CPS for programming.
I have created five zones of conventional channels. I also created five scan lists.
The radio is set up so zones are selected either by the toggle switch or via menu.
The radio is programmed so a side button turns scan on and off. The toggle switch can select between scan lists 1,2 and 3.
I don't know how to select scan lists 4 or 5.
I can select the zone no problem. When I press the scan button when in zones 4 or 5 nothing happens.

Try disabling the toggle switch and just have the scan follow the zone. That should make zone 1 scan list 1, zone 2 scan list 2, etc.

That did not work, but I was able to figure out my problem.
Turns out I missed a step in setting up scan lists.
I found and corrected the error and it all works fine.
for anyone doing this, the lesson I learned is that after you create scan lists you have to go back to the personalities and manually assign the personality to the scan list.
Once I made that change everything works fine.
