Emergency Signaling on GP338/328

Post by penthroxau »

Hi,

I have a series of waris radios (328, 338, 339, 338 + and 328 +) and I would like to set up the top button of the radio (red one) with an emergency function. I have limited experience with the CPS but I have programmed the button to sound a warning siren. I know there is a way to hit that button and get the frequency to 'jam open' so the user can scream for help etc if the need should arrise. Does anyone know how to set this feature up?

After playing with the CPS I am under the impression it is an MDC Signaling option.

Can anyone please help me out! I can upload screenshots if that helps.

Thanks

Ok so further playing around I figure I need to set a 'call' option as well? I can get the radio to send MDC packets of data to the channel but it doesnt open the mic?

Any ideas?
