Spectra Scan Speed?

Post by Spiffy50 »

Hey gang, am wondering if anyone happens to know how fast a (analog) Spectra scans through a conventional scanlist? That is, does each added channel add a significant amount of time to the time it takes to cycle through the list?

The Spectra scanns realy fast and yes there is some time spent on each channel looking for a signal.

I guess what I was getting at, roughly how long would it take to cycle through 15 conventional channels (CSQ)?

VCO lock speed is on the order of a few mS, but DPL decode time would be the killer. Even if you operated CSQ, they limited the scan rate to decode DPL. I'll see if I can find a spec in the manual tomorrow, but I'll guess that mode dwell times are at least 100mS.

Nothing jumped out at me in the manuals stating the scan rate. Sorry.
