Yet Another CDM1250 Issue

Post by wnyevs »

I have been trying to tune up my codeplug for my CDM1250. I am having a few problems.

When I open the codeplug, the following pops up:

After discovering this, I want to delete everything from the call list and start from scratch. I want to try my best to not have to redo the entire codeplug.

When I go to delete some items from the MDC call list, I get the following error:

When I try to save the codeplug the following pops up:

I found something odd in the call list I have never seen before. Does it have anything to do with the error I'm getting?

Has anyone stumbled upon something like this?

open the codeplug and click on the icon of the red circle with the red slash thru it and it will tell you where the invalid fields are

It's interesting though... Look at the screencaps, except for the first one, the invalid field indicator is not where it would usually be in the bottom right of the screen.

This really looks to me like there is corruption in the codeplug somewhere... If you have a backup saved, open it up and just write it into the radio and go from there... I don't suppose it's letting you delete that "Reserved" entry in the call list?
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

That is the thing, I have tried that but there are no invalid fields showing.

There are a few things I want to change in my codeplug. I may just go and redo the entire thing.

No it will not let me erase the "Reserved" entry... must be a gremlin!

I havent had a chance to try it but I want to read my radio with the CPS and see if the reserved entry made it into the radio.

What version of CPS are you using? If you aren't on the latest (R06.12.02), you can email me the CPG ([email protected]) and I can see if opening with the latest fixes it for you...

you have a corrupted codeplug, I hope you have the original saved on your computer somewhere? just open it and write it to the radio. most of the times when I see corrupted codeplugs in the radio you'll find aliases or channel names misspelled or has odd symbols in it.

I finally got a chance to read the radio today and see if the corrupt codeplug was uploaded to it.

It wasnt!

I read the radio, saved the codeplug and modified to reflect the changes I needed.

Thanks for the replies guys!
