(/\/\) DTR 410/650 fixed to removable antenna conversion

Post by Batman »

looking to mod my fixed antenna dtr's to removable antenna. i am a licensed ham (kc8gpd) and these operate within the 902-928 ham/ism band using FHSS so please no c**p about the legalities of modding part 15 equipment. part 90 and 15 equipment is modded to ham all the time. now thats out of the way, i know someone somewhere has done this or attempted to. i am interested in knowing how to do it, how hard it was and what the result was.

also has anyone ever messed around with built 1 watt 900 mhz fhss voice repeaters? i am curious about this one as to whether anyone has ever tried and what the results were. if it were done how would it be accomplished? my guess is similar to how pcs/gsm cellular does it.
Thank You,

Robert
