XTS2500/5000 12.5KHz analog in FPP?

Post by mab »

I've noticed that on every one of my FPP XTS2500s and XTS5000s (VHF, UHF, firmware 12.xx, 14.xx and 15.xx), it doesn't seem to be possible use FPP to program an analog-only channel for 12.5KHz spacing (only 20KHz or 25KHz). Mixed-mode allows 12.5KHz, however.

I can program analog-only 12.5KHz channels (2.5KHz deviation) with no problem via the Astro25 CPS (v14 and v15), but the 12.5KHz option isn't there when I use FPP.

Anyone know what's going on here? Is this a bug, did I misconfigure something in the codeplug, or am I missing something?

Thanks

Does the radio have hardware encryption? If you set the channel for analog only and select or secure, you will be forced to Securenet, which requires a 5KHz channel. Changing the channel to mixed-mode switches the crypto to ASTRO, which is fine with 2.5KHz.

Set the analog channels to Clear rather than Select/Secure and it should work.
